Since 1991. has conducted several large-scale socio-economic and Reproductive Health Surveys and Evaluation in India.

Visiting Professor. Formerly Professor and Head, Department of Sociology and Anthropology, A N Sinha Institute of Social Studies, Patna. Has extensive experience in Tribal Demography, Population Studies and Large Scale Social Surveys over several decades.
