Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)

 

HNV started the B.Ed. programme in the academic year 2006-2007, duly recognized by National Council  for Teacher Education (NCTE), a statutory body for regulating teacher education in India. B.Ed., is a professional programme that prepares teachers of middle (classes VI to VIII ), and secondary (classes IX and X) levels.

 

Duration: 1 Year

 

Eligibility: Candidates with at least 45% marks either in the Bachelor’s degree or in the Master’s degree.

 

Admission Procedure: Admissions are made on merit on the basis of marks obtained in the Entrance examination conducted by the University.

 

Course Structure: The following papers are prescribed in the syllabus approved by the Board of Studies of the University.

 

BED-101         Teacher in the Emerging Indian Society.

BED-102         Development of Learner & Teaching Learning Process.

BED-103         Development of Educational System in India.

BED-104         Essentials of Educational Technology and Management

 

Teaching Methods: Two school subjects to be opted for from the following list.

 

BED-105         Teaching of Science

BED-106         Teaching of Mathematics

BED-107         Teaching of Hindi

BED-108         Teaching of English

BED-109         Teaching of Social Studies

BED-110         Teaching of Home Science

BED-111         Teaching of Sanskrit

 

BED-112         Optional Subject

 

 

Practical: Practical work to be performed by each student (10 Micro Lessons and 30 Lesson Plans) and teaching practice in real school situation. Demonstration of model lessons and criticism lessons are required before final practical examination.

 

Attendance: At least 75% attendance is essential in the theory classes and 100% attendance is essential for practice teaching and other practical activities.
